I am an Italian girl, my name is Federica and I am 19 years old.
I live in Verbania, a small city in the North West of Italy, with my father and my brother.
At present I go to school and I study foreign languages, in particular English, German and French.
In the summer of 2001 I lived in Germany for six weeks, I stayed in a family and I went to school.
This was my first experience abroad and I had the possibility to stay with German people and improve my German.
Last June I had a stage in Germany and I worked one month in a tourist office.
For the first time I was in contact with the work world. My tasks were to work with computer, send faxes and sometimes I answered the telephone.
I enjoyed this job very much and I think it was a very useful experience.
I also worked for 3 years with children from 6 to 14 years old in summer camps. This was the best experience in my life.
After a working day with them I was very tired, but their smiles and their wish to play made me very happy.
With them my day was better.
With my class at school I had a German theatre experience and for two years I took part of a theatre course.
I am interested in all kinds of sports, in particular soccer and volleyball.
I played football from 4 years in a team in Verbania, the place where I live.
I like meeting new people and I find the idea of travelling very stimulating. This is, together with the fact of helping people, why I took up the idea of doing an E.V.S. project.
